Default Replacing power window assembly
I removed the driver side window assembly when I saw that the gear teeth were worn and the bracket cracked. (The gear on the motor looked OK). Something tells me that installing the new assembly and getting it adjusted correctly may be a "bear."

I'm sure someone has done this before. Please, provide me your tips and advise. Is there a step-by-step procedure that someone can post?

Final window adjustment is a bear, the rest is easy. Look in an service manual, most have the step by step instructions.

What lubricant should I use on the assembly? I think WD 40 is too light. Silicone oil may also be too light. What about white lithium grease? Is that too heavy?

I installed the power window assembly (without the glass) and re-installed the motor. It's easy and moves just fine. I'm waiting for new glass.
