My 76 has the has the combo white/firethorn interior. Firethorn dash and carpet, White seats and door panels. From what I understand there were 4 color combinations for 76 & 77.(white&gray, white&red/firethorn, white&blue, and white&black) Are these the only years that the two tone interiors were offered? Are they rare? I havent found many picture of cars with them.

To my knowldge, there were no two-tone interior packages. Likewise, there was no white carpet. When a white interior trim package was ordered, the carpet (an possibly other trim pieces) were dark (usually black). The trim tag on the driver's hinge post of your car will specify the correct interior trim color. I'd be willing to bet your car came with white interior trim.
My carpet is red. The book Corvette ID #'s shows the trim plate on the door has the code for white/firethorn combonation. Corvette central sells the package for it
jn76vette is correct about 2 tone interiors being available. I do recall them being listed, but would not have got one.
I was Corvette shopping at the time, did not consider or look at 76s. Did look at 77s as soon as they were available & did not see any 2 tone interiors.
There were several nice solid color 77 Stingray interiors.
Thanks for confirming that i was right about their existance, Corvette Central lists the different combonations in their catalog. I'd like to find some more pics of cars with with these interiors and possibly the numbers produced.
Yes
You could order them with two-tone interiors, the dealers had to use an over-ride option when the order was placed to the factory. I have a low mileage original untouched 1977 L-82 4 speed with this option, and have all the supporting paperwork that lists the two-tone interior (build sheet, window sticker, dealer's order copy, customer's order form and customer's purchase agreement).

As stated in a supporting post, I have a wrecked 76 that I bought for parts and it has the dark red (firethorn?) interior with white deluxe door panels (firethorn door carpet trim) and white seats. I believe it to be factory stock. It is only in fair shape but I can check any data thats on the car, if needed.

Bob...have I seen this one...or is it new (well...relatively)?
But Bob's absolutely correct, we've seen some nice 76s with the two tone interior and I've got a copy of the original paperwork plus the sales material.
do any of you guys know the trim codes for the 2-tone interiors? are there special codes for 2-tone that are different from the regular? i have a 76 with firethorn/white interior and the trim code is 712.
