Default Carter and Elderb. Combo question

Thanks in advance. I am so ready to get back on the road but want to get things right first. This is going on a 79 L82.

I have everything bolted up and got it started up and am getting ready to hook up all the vaccume lines and this is where I have the questions.

The vaccume advance that goes to the distributer is the small vent on the left side of the carb? Correct me if I am wrong.

The Big one obv. goes to the pvc valve.

What is the big vent tube on the top left of the carb and where does it go to.

On the passenger side valve cover is the metal tube that went to the air cleaner, what do I do with it. I am going to use the elderbrock aircleaner will I have to do some johnny riggin to mate it up to the air cleaner?(valve cover vent to the eldb air cleaner)

For the power brakes the old set up went to the carb, with the new carb it will not bolt to it. However it will bolt to a vent hole in the intake just behind the carb, It will screw in but won't make a tight seal.

The throttle bracket will only bolt up to one of the studs on the carb, it is not wide enough to make it to the other stud.

I think this is all for now. I did a search on some of these items and came up with a few answers. I am hoping that someone who has made this swap will chim in and help out.

It is a elderbrock performer intake and a Carter AFB Carb.
I don't have a digital camera yet, I was shopping around for one this weekend.

Found a solution to some of my questions, Bought a throttle and kickdown bracket, and installed. Got the adapter off the Q-Jet and put it on the Carter for the pwr brakes.

The other question I have is there is a vent tube that runs up the back of the motor, looks like comes from the automatic transmission. Where would be the best place to hook it up? To the left of the pvc valve line????

You can get brake vacuum from the back of the carb as with the original Q-Jet. Or you can plug that port get a "T" adaptor for both brake and transmission vacuum as shown on the left of this pic.

Or you can emulate stock. This is a 1979 GM intake. The transmission vacuum adaptor is shown on the left. I am sure the Edelbrock intake has a threaded hole behind the carb for that purpose.
