Default Headlight aiming

Can anyone explain the best way to aim the dual headlights on the C3's? There's nothing in the factory service manual as far as procedure. The service manuals for all my other cars tell you to find a flat horizontal area and park the car X number of feet from it and then measure the highest intensity portion of the headlight beams above the floor/ground as well as from the centerine of the car. Are there any such aiming procedures for the C3's short of going to a garage and using a machine?

Headlights are headlights. Back up 25', turn on low beams, make sure that the top of the high-intensity portion is no higher than the center-height of the headlamps. Also have the left edge at the vertical center of the straight-ahead marking.

High beams just go for straight-ahead.

There is a procedure listed in the manual for my 75 (74 manual with supplement). It's basically like mentioned above, but quite specific as far as left to right, height, and distance back. I actually made an aiming grid on my garage door with thin strips of duct tape, seemed to work just fine. Post here if you still can't find it in your factory manual, I'll post the procedure for you but it is somewhat lengthy.
