Do you get more frustration or exhilaration from your C3? Right now, I'm on the exhilaration side, but if I go one more time to crank up Whitey, and she is totally dead, battery wise, then I might start leaning towards frustrating!
Hmm it really depends. Some days its more frustration, some days its not. They both are pretty exhilerating, and yet frustrating at the same time. It is all worth it though.
In the four years I've had my C3, she has only been out of service (not including scheduled downtime in the winter) for a total of about 6 days. Only once had to be towed. Even that wasn't so bad as a vette loving tow truck driver towed it the required 3 blocks for $15 cash. Granted, that $$ did go right into his pocket and not the company- he just happened to be at the gas station where I discovered my gas-spraying fuel pump! Pretty rare in a big city like Chicago to find someone like that. Funny the guy at the shop (only time my car has ever been to a shop) told me he was afraid to take it out for a test drive after the new fuel pump for fear of Chicago traffic and something happening to it. That happened this srping. I guess I've been really lucky. :-)
at the moment, exhilaration. i've had it about six months. when i bought it, it didn't even make it home, and it spent the next two months in pieces. after yanking the radiator three or four times, and rebuilding the suspension in my driveway, it's been doing fine. since then, it's been all exhilaration . . .
After many years of this frustration/exhilaration cycle, I finally discovered the secret to happiness. Have more than one "toy car." I now have four that just sit & wait for me between trips with the daily drivers. Whenever one gives my grief, I move onto another and work on the errant ember of the fleet whenever I darned well feel like it. Hmm. This kind of reminds me that one of them hasn't been driven for about two years since I smoked the coil. Maybe I need to get back to it...
Frustation. I get the coilover suspension done. I go to test drive it, brakes don't work. Get a bad master cylinder, then a good one. Try to drive it, transmission doesn't work. And now I'm at that point after taking it apart in January 2003.

Same could be said for women, or in your case guys.
Thing is, they all need attention and reward in kind.
It has allways been a love/hate thing. Love her when she runs and hate it when she don't. Kinda have same emotions with my wife of 22 yrs. Dang, didn't notice until I wrote that last sentence that I've been married about as long as my 79 in old !
Frustration going on 2 yrs now. One step forward....TWO steps back. Straightening out someone elses F*** up's is extremely frustrating, aggravating, and discouraging. But...when I finally take that first drive after 2yrs...hopefully all will be right with the world again.
