What did GM do to the C-4 frames and what didn't they do to the C-3 frames that cause the C-3 frames to rust? I know this guy who lives a few blocks from my home who lives a pretty 68 convert sitting out in the driveway summer and winter. It has two inches of water on the drivers floor and doesn't run. He also has rags covering the dashboard so I assume it's leaking from around the convert top. He wants to put some money in the car to get it running but I told him he'd be better off checking out the A pillar and the frame for rust before dumping a lot of cash into the thing, but he doesn't listen all that well.
Do you think products like Krylon's Rust Tough(rust preventative paint) protect the frame from damage better than what we got from the factory? (Obviously it's a lot better than whatever was left before a restoration...)
