Temperature Gauge

Does anyone know if there is a temperature gauge that does not use any kind of wires or lines. I guess it would work like a thermometer. I am replacing my water pump and there is a unused plug on the top of the pump. I thought it would look cool if there was a temp gauge there. I know it would not read the correct engine temp, but I just want it for looks. Thanks for any replys.

I have one from "MoonEyes" that is in the opening at the front of my intake. See pic below. Rod

You can check with Edmunds Scientific, Omega, Fisher Scientific
and the like. They all should have dail temp gauges that you
could adapt. Neat Idea.

That is one BEAUTIFUL looking engine! Where did you get the temperture gauge from. I do not recognize the name Mooneyes.
