Non Supporting Vendors.........

For the newbs or those who were taking a nap on the days this issue has surfaced on various and numerous occasions in the past, please be reminded of the following points:
1. Supporting vendors pay for the considerable bandwidth charges on the Forum, making it free for the rest of us. In exchange, they get the privilege of using the Forum to market and promote their goods and services.
2. Members are not prohibited from mentioning it when they have a good (or bad, for that matter) experience with a non-supporting vendor. But such mentions cannot be so specific (addresss, phone number, e-mail address, URL, price, part number, etc.) and so frequent that they become marketing and promotional references.
3. Forum rules provide guidelines for the reporting of unresolved disputes with supporting vendors. See the Forum guidelines/rules section. We have not yet been able to get the rules/guidelines to transfer over, but are repopulating the section with sticky threads as we have time. Eventually, I think they’ll go into a FAQ.
4. Free speech/censorship. God bless America, where we enjoy constitutionally protected rights. Free speech, although not absolute, is one of those rights. Being a member at Corvetteforum.com is not, however, a constitutionally protected right. The Forum is a private enterprise and its owner has the right to establish rules of behavior for participants. Property rights are Constitutionally protected. Participants who agree to follow Forum rules and then don’t sometimes find that their inappropriate posts have been deleted. A pattern of such defiance of the Forum’s rules/guidelines can jeopardize a member’s posting privileges.
5. If you have suggestions for the improvement of the Forum or complaints about its moderation, you are welcome to contact a moderator or administrator.
