Default Progress Pics! (Incl C5 Seats)

If anyone is planning the C5 seats - I used Tyler Townleys Instructions and they worked to a Tee!!!
(See Link)
http://www.corvettefaq.com/c3/c5seats.htm

Here are some pics of my Progress! The Keyless Entry is working and the 6 way power seats work PERFECTLY!!
Dakota Digital guages are going in but hard to see...

So how did you get the seat low enough? Lower the floor? I have manual C4 seats and managed to just barely get them low enough by some extensive seat track surgery. I understand C5 seats are taller, especially power.

Markus,

Read carefully the instructions from Tyler and pay close attention to the pics of the cuts in the floorpan(link above - or I can email you a detailed writeup I did (large file).

The Cuts in the floorpan are exactly what are needed for the rotating mechanisms to have "somewhere to go" ie. into the floorboard.

First you drill out the rivets holding the 2" front mounting brackets - now you are 2" lower than stock off the bat - and now you need 2" underneath the pan for the power height adjust rotating arms to rotate into.

I can now lower the seat all the way down to the floor almost!!!

Power seats! I don't need those, I'm 6'3"
Put the seat back as far as I can and get cozy.

That looks great! Is it possible to fold the seat forward with rooftops on?

I dont understand how C-5 seats sit way taller.
Mine worked perfect! I just need some small mod's
on the pass, seat to sit level with the driver seat.
MY Z06 driver seat sits lower than the stock C3 seat.
Im sure my thread is still out here. 6 way works to.
Im thinking 80/82 might have a different floor pan
design than the 79 and lower models

Power seat 80-82s had a different pan, drivers side is noticeably lower than the pass side

Keyless entry? so you are gonna shave the key hole
outside the door. or you mean you have a remote now.
Good job by the way

Thanks - Im not shaving the keyholes, just wanted to have the power doorlocks & remote entry!
Added Power windows too, but used the OEM Kit from Corvette Central (new motors, regs, switches, harnesses - everything but the relay)
So now I have those and dual six-way power seats

Classic on the outside and convenience on the inside!

Ha! YELLOW 72,
2 Owners prior to me did the deed....

But Blue is my favorite so in about X years when I can afford paint, it will be blue again! (only a bit darker)

I also got Blue cutpile carpet for a black/blue 2 tone effect...

The War Bonnet Yellow is a cool color though...
If it wasnt NNCRS, i'd bring it back to War Bonnet (Nowhere Near Correctly Restored Stingray)
