I recently purchased a set of swept fin spinners for my 1977 L82 from ECKLERS.
The wrong item was sent. (box even had 2 p/n's neither of them were the right part)
I returned them for replacement with the correct item.
ECKLERS recd the shipment on July 20th.
When I called today, 11 working days since recd, I was told it could be another 1-2 weeks to process.
Is this what you would call "customer service". Oh and by the way I had to pay for the return shipping.
I can tell you for sure that this is the last item I will ever buy from ECKLERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the same rule I have with any vendor. If I can get the same part somewhere else for a lower price, I usually go with the second vendor.
That being said, I haven't bought much from Ecklers. For C3 parts I usually get them from Zips since they give a 5% discount on the forum. The one or two times I have used Ecklers I have not had a problem.
I have also bought from them several times and was very satisfied. BUT
this is a return and as far as I am concerned they are giving very very very poor service and I should not be charged for their mistake!!!
comments????
i ordered a assembly manual and binder fromthem once...they sent a 1973 assembly manual and a 1974 binder! now i use corvette central.. never a problem with them and fast delivery!!
If it was indeed their mistake, they should have sent a call tag for return of the incorrect parts...and immediately ship out the correct items.
Call and ask to speak to a manager about this situation.
Other vendors -- like Van Steel and VBP (both of whom are HIGHLY recommended) -- are often to be found on this forum. Ecklers doesn't have much of a presence around here.
I ordered a NOX kit from Ecklers and it came with missing parts. Called customer service they said, "no problem send it back" They were going to "allow"me to pay return shipping. Once I asked them to pay for shipping (since it was their mistake), they did with no problem. had to ask though.
I don't care for Ecklers much, hopefully they pay shipping at least. The only time they have really annoyed the crud out of me was when I need a new fuel sending unit. The went and checked since they only had one left and told me the gasket was missing, but they had the gasket in stock individually for $5.xx . They were the only ones that had it and I'm sure they knew it, but over $5.xx they will lose my business in the future if someone else has it.
my 2cents, hopefully you at least get your shipping.

The one time I ordered from Eckler's I didn't have any problems. I did find their customer service, when asking questions about the parts I was ordering, to have the same knowlegde as if they were answering the phone in India.

Sorry about your experience.
I ordered swept fin spinners and cones and they were on back order for a week but they came exactly as ordered. In fact maybe I'm one of the lucky ones. I have placed a lot of orders with Ecklers and other than an occassional backorder have had nothing but great service and sooner than expected deliveries. Just thought I'd throw in a positive experience.
Everything I purchased from Eklers was in bad shape. I'll never do business with them again. The power steering ram they sent me came with a standard nut with no cotter pin This is the type of service that can kill a person. Defiantly do not buy any type of steering component from Elkers if you value your life.
I've been working on my 74 Conv. for 6 years now and it's still not on the road, but it's getting close. I used to buy only from Eckler's. But just last month both of their window switches fell apart, they were 2 years old but the car was not being used at all. I called eckler's and they said there was nothing they could do, they only guarantee them for 90 days. So I went to the GM dealer and bought a second pair of switches. And I have since crossed Eckler's off my list.
i had two bad situations withe them on returns...... took them two months to credit my account for a returned bumper cause it was isht.... second was when they shipped it to my billing address and it tokk them 5 weeks to resend it out after it returned to their place..... i just bought some items from zip and it came in three days...... sweet....
I very rarely buy from Ecklers. Only when I must. The last time I ordered they sent the item to my billing address instead of my home address that I specified. After a few calls to get it all straight It Took 5 weeks to get the item.
I only placed one order with them and it was a nightmare. Still not resolved.
I ordered a bunch or parts (set of o ring calipers, pads, hoses, wheels caps) and was told they'd be shipped next day and would take 4 days to reach me (I'm in the UK). 7 days later nothing had arrived. I called up and was told that they'd had a problem with the computer system, all orders placed that day were lost and I'd have to replace the order via the website.
I did this and 7 days later, still nothing. Called again and was told that the items were all in stock and that it was in the packing stage and the order would go out in the next day or so. 7 days later (becoming a weekly ritual by this point) and I was told it's been packed and that it had been sent to a different location to be prepared to ship. 7 days later I ring again, this time furious. I demand to know exactly when I will get them, as in someone go and check exactly where my parcel is and who is responsible for it. They tell me that the parts haven't even been taken from stock yet, let alone packed,, one item is out of stock and they don't expect it for another 3 weeks. I tell them that I've had enough and I want the order cancelled. They say no problem and that's the end of it.
I call Vette Brakes & Products, order the same parts (came to a lower price and then the guy gave me 10% off because it was my first order with them). 4 days later they arrived. Couldn't recommend them enough.
Then a few days later while I'm at work and my mother was at my house dropping some things off a delivery arrived and she, without knowing what it was, signed for it. I get home and find 2 orders from Ecklers. The one I cancelled and the one they told me had been lost. Checked with the credit card people and they'd charged me $1200 for this stuff. I ring them and they said, no problem, just send them back. That's easy for them to say! I had to pay $380 shipping to get them back, which I'm yet to have refunded, though they did refund the price of the parts themselves. Then a couple of weeks later I get a $420 bill from customs for the import duty on them! Trying to arrange a refund of this too, but as it stands I'm $800 down because of Ecklers and have nothing to show for it. That's not including the hours of international phone calls I had to make...
