Well I have DD2000, it's fun to play with and has lots of combinations to try.
I would email you a copy of it, but it's 3 1/2 MB.
And with my 56K dial up, it would take about 2 days just to try to send it. And from past experence, it will probably take a couple of trys to get it all to you...
Hopefull someone else will jump in here and offer you a copy. If not maybe I can send it to you in small batches.
I'll keep an eye on this post for the next couple of days to see if someone else offers.
Hod Rod magazine did a test on a simulator in the Summer 2004 edition of Engines: Hod Rod Special. There they test Motion Software's ProRacingSim. You can learn more at www.proracingsim.com They compared a Ford 5.0 dyno results to the simulated computer results. I don't think I should give you the actual results because this magazine is still for sale but I will say that it was very close. It was only off by a couple of horses on average. They then tested Drag Sim and were almost dead on too. Off by .06 sec and .3 mph in 1/8 mile.
I was wondering weather these sims worked or not but this magazine test convinced me to purchase a copy.
Talking about the software I mentioned above, you plug in the specs, ie. compresion ration, bore, stroke, cam and it will give you hp and tq measurements for the entire RPM range. It's cam manager lets you select from any of 800 of the most popular cam grinds from Comp Cams. It'll give you airflow rates, compression ratios based on imput values. I believe it'll also give you detonation warnings.
