Quick new carpet question.......

Well, I am nearly finished with the new interior install, after many unscheduled visits from Murphy.

Anyway, do I bolt the seat tracks over the carpet, or do I make a carpet flap to cover the bolts...?

We will be to that point in about a week but intend on only cutting the carpet for the bolts and have the tracks on top of the carpet

When I replaced my carpet I put the tracks on top. It seems I have seen pictures with the carpeting over. It looks like it would be harder to do. I'm interested in what others have to say.

Looks professional when you cut a short flap for the forward mounting bolts to hide them from view after install. The rest of the track can go on top of the carpet.

Asked upholstery guy that did my seat covers and he said just bolt through the carpet. Thats what I did and it looks good.
