I just installed the new fiberglass front spoiler on my 81 and once I got it all bolted up and down off the jack stands, rolled it back and forth about 10ft. to get it all settled to ride heigth I only had 4" of clearance on level ground, and that is without the rubber installed yet which I think is way to low. I can just see the first speed bump or steep driveway taking out the brand new spoiler! I'm going to be making a bracket today to raise it a couple of inches, does 6" of clearance sound about right? How much do you have?
Thanks for the replies guys. Was able to make a new bracket for mine yesterday and got it up to 5 1/2" without the rubber so I hope that will clear most speed bumps and driveways.
