Default Tach Drive Electronic Ignition Distrib

Been looking for a good electronic ignition conversion tach drive distrib for the 72 to replace my tired points unit. Looked in Summit & Jegs and can't find!! Any suggestions for something that doesn't cost me my house & first born child? Also looking for a self contained unit without boxes/extras hanging all over the engine bay. After all...it's just a stock motor.
Thanks Guys
Eddie

A couple of the forum sponsors/ advertisers offer HEI w/ tach drive.

Another option is the Mallory unilite w/ tach drive. Some swear by them some at them.

Performance Distributors has a very nice product, and they set it up specifically for your vehicle.

You could always refurbish the stock distributor and add a breakerless ignition unit. Several companies offer these units that drop into place of the stock points. Pertronix Ignitor is one of them.

Have any of you guys ever tried a Dave's small body HEI's ?

http://www.davessmallbodyheis.com/

He will rebuild, recurve, and convert it for $175. If you want an adjustable vacuum advance, it is an option. The fixed setting replacements work well if you can get a good match for your application but we all love the extra toys.

No permanant modifications unless you want it polished or billet type finish. I have read lots of good reports and would not hesitate to buy from this guy but just never needed one myself yet.
