Last year I replaced the headlight actuators in my 69. Somehow I failed to notice this at the time, but when the lights are in the closed position, the passenger side headlight is lower in the nose than the drivers side by about a quarter of an inch.
Is it possible that I did this when I installed the new actuators? I seem to remember screwing the actuator piston into the headlight assembly before final mounting (too long ago to be sure anymore). It appears that the valve/piston is pulling the assembly down too far? Can this be tweeked without pulling the entire radiator support core, etc, back out?
I dont think the actuators are causing that. There is a stop angle that hits an adjustable stop which might just be out of adjustment. The actuator I-bolts could be adjusted at the same time.

Is it down only along the front edge? Down all the way around? If it's down only along the front edge, there is an adjustment to the actuator link you can make to raise the front edge. Pop up the light; remove the bezel. Under the bottom of the actuator link you will see a hex-head adjustment screw. Go slow, a little at a time, until you have the front edge positioned where you want it. If the entire door is down all the way around, the adjustment is with the six attaching bolts mounting the headlight door to the actuator support.

I just took a look and it is definately the front edge. The back is properly aligned. I will try your suggestion tonite. Thank you!
