Default Big Block Number Help Please

A friend of mine has a big block that he's selling. I took a couple numbers off of it and hope that some of you may be able to tell me more about it.

The number off the block is: 14015445

The number off the piston head is: 3999295

Thanks,

Stephen

That's the same casting number on my block. It came from an '87 Suburban and turned out to be a 4 bolt. It's a Mark IV block which were made from the '70's to 1990. There came as either 2 or 4 bolt mains.

Yes, it is a 4 Bolt. What is this engine worth? If I buy it, I don't want to be unfair.

Also, some info on the head is as follows: 336781, Oval, 2.06Intake; 1.72Exhaust

Here's the specs on the heads from www.mortec.com

336781.....73-85...oval...OPEN...454, 118cc chamber, 256/114cc ports
Are you buying a complete engine. Realistically all I really used from the complete engine I bought was the crank, the block and the connecting rods. Everything else is new. I shoulda only paid about $500 but paid much more. Depends on what you want.

Yeah, it is a complete engine. He said he'd sell it for $454

I'm always looking for a new money pit and my consider it.

Could y'all help me by telling me what I should look for to ensure I don't purchase some sort of dud?

There seems to be a little surface rust on the bottom.
