I just rebuilt a 350 "R" motor from a '97 suburban
dropped in a ZZ4 cam and a few other minor changes, so I pretty much have an Iron Head ZZ4 engine
What flywheel/clutch do I need to bolt up to my 1973 Trans???
Sounds like the setup I've got... I just dropped a ZZ4 in my 73 last weekend. I couldn't figure out for sure if the stock clutch can handle the power of the ZZ4 - some people said yes, some said no - so I decided to put in a performance clutch. I went with the Hayes 11" street clutch and the stock 168-tooth flywheel. You may have to upgrade your starter as well.

So you were able to (or could have) used your old flywheel????
You cannot use the old flywheel because it is for a two piece rear main seal. You need to purchase a new flywheel for a one piece rear main seal engine. I believe when I put the zz4 in my 71 I use flywheel GM#10105832. I also used a Hayes street strip clutch when I put in the ZZ4. The clutch from Hayes works really great.

The clutch was a 26 spline diaphram style frm Hayes. It was the clutch they recommend for a 71 vette with a 14 inch flywheel and a 26 spline input shaft.
The zz4 comes with a flexplate which is for an automatic transmission. Normally is not as thick as a flywheel and has holes in it to reduce weight. A flywheel is for a manual transmission and is a solid wheel with a surfaced side for the clutch.
I'll be at Jeg's next weekend.... Is there a kit???
