17" Cragars SS
Anyone out here have them or know about them? Looking thru the archives for pictures of them on a c3 i got one hit, all it showed was a red x.
Would like to make sure that what i order is correct.
Is 7" or 8" width preferred?
Will these need spacers like the 15's?
What is the bolt pattern?
They are offered in 3.5" and 4.5" offset, thinking of going with 3.5 to move them out a little.
This is for an 80 with stock trailing arms.

We put New 17" Wheels on our '81 vette , There are several things you should know ahead of time (we didn't).
We decided on the Cragar - Series 61 - S/S Super Sport Chrome - 17X8- Part #617834 - Bolt pattern 5 X 4 3/4 - Rear spacing 3 1/2 " width 9 " THIS IS IMPORTANT they use Conical Lug Seats and must use ET Lug nuts - get them before hand.
yes - I needed a 1/8" Spacer .
I also bought the Spinner center caps Part # 09095

In order for your speedo to be correct you need to use 27.1" high tires.
The two high performance tires I found that fit the bill were :
Continental Extreme Contact - directional tread 255/50-17 - 27.1"
High - Z Speed rated
and
BF Goodrich TA KDSWS - 255/50-17 - 27.1" high - WR Speed Rated.
They look really good and I get a lot of positive comments.
