Default Adjustable Shocks Arrived Today....

I ordered these shocks in July and they finally arrived today. What I like most about these shocks (and the reason I prdered them) is their versitility. They are 9 postion so I can set them as soft or firm as I want. The will come handy at the drag strip and can be positioned to simulate the 10/90 drag shocks yet set to comfort on the ride home.

Not a bad job though the front was much more tedious than the rear. For the front you had to remove the adjustment **** to fit through to shock mount hole. I removed the tires and bump stop for added cleance. Took me 2hours total to do, although I do have a car lift. I'll get the installed pics tomorrow, I forgot the camera at home when I went to the shop. I'll let you guys know how I like them in the upcoming weeks.

Sounds sweet. Whats your opinion so far? Only thing I think of that would make them better is a way to control all shocks from inside. It wouldn't be that hard to implement.

I installed them about 6 weeks ago, I like them so far. The RCSI shacks do not have a "gas cell" in them, I am GLAD of this! The pre=loading of a suspension with the "gas" charge of many shocks (KYB's in particular) causes the intial sping rates to be "soft". The easiest way to get the fronts installed is to remove the lower mounting shaft to allow the body to be raised into the spring area to re-install the adjuster back onto the body, then reinstall the lower mounting shaft into the bushing (I know, it's easier said than done.) The shocks can be set-up for "in the cockpit" remote control by either purchasing RCSI's set-up or the Rancho Suspension RS9000 shock controller (less money.) The remote control option adds a lot of "complexity" to the system but, may be worth while for some.

How much do the shock controllers cost? And can they be used for any adjustable shock or just these in particular?

It looks to me like the adjustment is by turning a **** on the shock body. If that's all it is, then is the shock controller system just a little servo and controller that mounts onto the ****?
