Default Countdown to Carlisle!

Is CF going to setup a tent or anything at Corvettes at Carlisle this weekend? If so where will it be?

I was wondering the same thing. Look for a post by Mike Mercury, he's organizing a get together with a list of hotels everyone is staying at.

This will be my first time to Carlisle. How difficult is it to find a parking space? Am I going to be stuck walking 2 miles to get into the fairgrounds. If I pick up some parts, I don't walk to have to carry them too far.

Steve you won't get in unless you drive a vette or are a vendor. You have to park everything else outside. If you get there by 6:30 am you can find a spot on one of the streets, otherwise you have to pay to park on a lawn- $20 day is about average.Traffic starts tobuild up around 8:00 am.

Steve I live 30 min from Carlisle and have go to at least 3 shows a year. for this show If you drive your vette you will be able to park in the fairgrounds about 1/4 mile from most of the vendors but on the other side of the big damn hill. If your parts a big bring a wagon. If your driving a truck or other vehicle expect to park on a lawn. Most people charge $10 not $20 If you park off the fairgrounds assume a half mile hike with your stuff. Anyone have the details of where the forum is meeting and where dinner is?

Thanks guys. The Vette is still up on jackstands, although now running, so we'll be taking another vehicle. I guess I better figure on a serious hike, as we'll be driving in Friday morning.

I stand corrected, but seem to recall people asking $20- must have been in the "high end" of town!

FRIDAY!!! Best day to go. NOT EVEN BUSY. Parking is cheaper and the walk is really not that far. Park at the school, right next to fairgrounds, it is really close. I am not going this year, getting car back from paint Friday. Saturday is fun, but all the hardcore folks get there on Friday! Anyone ever notice that the swap meet is more expensive than a vendor? Everyone swears they have "RARE" parts! haa haaa Be sure to stop by VB&P. They are inside and HAVE FANS... ahhhhh coooolllllll. Gary will probably be there... good guy!
