Anyone have any recommendations for a power antenna that doesn't break the bank? Bubba decided the vette'd look cool with a 12" rubber whip instead of the stock antenna. Gotta find something to fill the hole up and'll still work. Will most aftermarket power antennas work on a vette? Assuming you get it grounded good?

I got a new one from Mid America for $90 for my '82, they have them in black or chrome. I have the black one and it works great
I had a hard time with wiring but it was because Bubba made a mess of it when he put in some cheap radio. I rewired it back to the battery and
the new head unit and it works great. I really like the black antenna with the black car.

I just installed one on mine when it came home from paint. I really think it cleans the car up some. It works great and so far, knock on wood, no problems. I bought mine from a member. It came packed in the box like it had never been used.
I got one from Mid America also, $90. Works fine. Ground it to the frame nearby. On my 77, I had the rear bumper cover off the car during installation. If your left muffler is in place and so is your bumper cover, installation will be challenging.

Same here, easy to install, grounds great, no reception problems.

I removed the muffler, made it much easier.
Also I can now listen to the radio, no reception before.
