Default 68 needs 327 again

Whats up guys, First thanks to all who helped me w/ my vibration problem. Ok I have been restoring my 68. Everything is new, but I bought it w/ a 350. I would love to put an oem 327 back in. any ideas were I can find one to rebuild(or new). I have tried all of my junk yards.
Thanks,
C3nut

Did you find any 307s in your junkyard? A 307 and a 327 have the same crankshaft. Use your 350 block and you have a 327. Probabaly have to have it balanced. If you must have a 68 327 that will be harder.

Don't know where in the country you are, but I just spoke to my friend who is on his way to Carlisle (if you are near there-go). He has a 327 complete in a '68 roadster. He is in Atlanta, GA. Won't be back until next Wednesday. If you are interested call him then. 770-461-5211.

If you're doing a NCRS/Bloomington type restoration, you'll need a 327 block with the correct casting number and a correct casting date which would be "correct" for the build date of your car. Several engine block vendors advertise in Hemmings. They have blocks with every conceivable casting number and date. Classic Engine Company and Engines Unlimited are two that come to mind. Both are located in Wisconsin. Chuck
