Default Cold air intakes

I currently have an open-style air cleaner, and would like to draw in some cold air. Will the OEM setup in the later C3's bolt into a 74 without any work?

I have a '74 with the original factory cold air setup. I don't know about the later model stuff interchanging, but you likely could find someone who has pulled off the original stuff from a '74 that would work. Try posting under Parts.

I didn't even know 74's had a cold air setup. Then I remembered that these cars are supposed to have a door open up at WOT (I assume that's what you mean). Bubba removed any trace of that in my car, probably because of the L88 hood he put on caused it not to seal.

The later C3's have ducting to draw air from around the radiator, which seems more practical for my car. I'm just worried about the mounting stuff hitting the radiator or fan shroud.

74 air cleaner is supposed to seal to the underside of the hood, and take cold air from the cowl area. The later models have a different hood than the stock 74, but since yours is not stock it may interfere, or it may not. If you have an L88 hood, try to find a repro L88 air cleaner setup. Not only does it work well, it looks good, too. Joe

Yeah, that'd be cool, but its a lot of work. I'm afraid of messing with fiberglass . I've had bad experiences with letting other people do it also.
