i have 101k on my vette. there is a 77 here in town that has over 300k on it. it was a florida car, rebuilt at 100k, 200k( at this point the 1st owner wanted a new vette but couldn't afford it, so had it rebuilt again) and at 300k( the original owner could afford a new vette so he sold it) and the car was rebuilt and sold to the second owner!
Yup - keep up the maintenance.
My DD 89 Buick just turned 273K today - with only the waterpump
and alternator changed. Original tranny, rear wheel bearings,
rear struts ... etc.
I know that it is considered snake oil - but the original owner used
teflon additives in motor and tranny. I will forever wonder if this
helped. Obviously, it didn't hurt.
My 75 vette drivetrain has 113k. The motor is strong and quiet, but the
TH400 needed a rebuild due to low fluid and clutch wear.
