Default What does a complete 350 small block engine weigh

I just pulled the engine and tranny from my 77. Am upgrading to a 200-4R and a 383 stroker engine.

Does anyone know approximatly what the tranny and engine each weigh. I am going to be selling both of these and I want to be able to estimate what the shipping would be.

Also anyone have reccomendations on the most inexpensive way to ship other than dragging it down the road myself.

Thanks

Depending on how many accessories you leave on the engine, it should weigh about 575 pounds.

Not sure about the 200.

Do what I do with the dog. Weigh yourself, then hold the engine and weigh and subtract your weight from that. Then weigh yourself holding the tranny and again, subtract your weight from the gross.

Should have been clear on the tranny. I'm pulling out the TH350 and putting in a 200-4R. I need the weight for the TH350.

350 weights about 500 lbs, a th400 weights 140lbs so the th350 should be a little less.
