The accelerator pump lever on a Q-jet has 2 holes. What is the better of the holes to insert the rod into? What are the advantages of one vs. the other.
If my physics is correct the hole at the end of the lever wouldn't be as "snappy" of a throttle response however it would afford more pump action, while the inner hole would give a "snappier" throttle response but less pump accuation.
Just found this in a carb book: "There are two pump-rod holes in some pump levers which establish pump travel. One at the end of the lever is used for normal driving in moderate climates. The inside hole, standard location on some models, gives a larger pump shot for racing or cold weather."
