I replaced this part in both doors of my 68 coupe.
Carefully remove the entire regulator assembly from the door and secure in a bench vise.
Place an appropriately sized bolt and nut through the hole on the regulator to prevent it from opening by itself as the spring is under a fair amount of presure.
With the regulator secured in the vise, hold the large arm securely and with the other hand undo the bolt and nut and slowly let the spring unwind the regulator and then remove the spring, and replace reversing the steps you used to remove it.
The vise is necessary to hold the assembly while you use both hands to work on it.
Be careful as it is under lots of pressure.
Not a tough job if you go slow and pay attention to what you are doing.
