Question re. Brake light/fuse problem
I have a 71 with all new wiring harnesses - the tail lamps work fine, but the brake lights do not work at all.
I checked the fuse (20A) and sure enough it was blown - put a new one in, and it blew too...
What could be the reasons for this?

Go to an electronics store and buy a 15 amp circuit breaker (i have a 5 amp breaker that is about as big around as a ball point pen and 1" long with 2 wires sticking out of it). Now, wire this into that circuit and start trying to locate the short, you can reset the breaker instead of replacing the fuse each time. When it is fixed take the breaker out. A problem like this usually requires a trail and error approach.
