Has anyone used these lights offered by Ecklers and do they hold up ?
Are they worth the investment or should I go back to the originals ?

Here's a set of the lenses for sale on ebay -- I'm not sure it this would be all you need or if you might have to do some frabrication or buy more parts.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...spagename=WDVW

I had a set on my '77 for a while, but have since gone with four tail lights.

good luck

My *** Vette has them - look better than originals I think - the worst for me are the ones with the white centres - ( earlier cars ).

Once saw ( now possibly illegal ) brake lights that gave the inpression of revolving when lit up - just the prettiest thing I ever saw !!!!!! That was about 25 years ago.

Yo freak, doing this upgrade right now...see earlier post about waxing my tail.... will take some pics and let you know how it goes..everyone I talked with says it is a great set up! Actually, thinking bout once it is done...changing bulbs over to l.e.d.'s. This set up will have to be much brighter and redder looking color with the l.e.d.'s. From what I hear, it cost an arm and a leg to go back to original with the lens prices and all. Just fixing to take a perfectly good pair off my vette for this mod.. !! Keep you posted..keep us up to date with your angel eyes mod..ok! Joe!

I've had them on my car for over 14 years - they were installed by a previous owner. They seem to be holding up well, but I don't drive it everyday either.

I bet you I have seen this car 20 times , reccomended by several people to look at ... lol !

Beautiful creation you have there . I am so undecided on what rear bumper to put on my ride , I love the ZR1 but it doesnt hold the ZR1 lights . I like the flat top look so I can put a wing on the back .
I too want four red lenses in the rear instead of the backup lights , it looks so much better to me .

If you could , I would love to see some pics of what you are installing .
I appreciate the moral you guys send , it makes building my modified vette alot more challenging and appreciated .
