Default Lars QJet choke setup procedure?

Does anyone have a copy of Lars choke setup procedure? My carb is very, very close to running very well...except for the choke. When the car is cold, it runs so badly it's embarrassing!

I'm especially interested in finding out how to setup the choke pulloff. I have a feeling it's the worst part of my problem...

I'm very interested in this also. My carb works perfect when warm but the starting procedure is no fun. A previous owner had locked the choke open, now I have a manual wire connected to the choke arm. I didn't even know that there are more than the choke-arm position to adjust when it's about choke?

As usual I am of no help at all. I printed all of Lars's white papers out and have them in a 3 ring binder in my garage.

A Lars binder on my bench ... priceless

From Lars:

I get frequent inquiries about the type of technical articles I have available. So for those of you who are collecting these things, and for those of you who are unaware of the availablity, here is a complete listing of original technical articles I have available with their revision levels. If you want a copy of any of these articles, please drop me an e-mail request to:

V8FastCars@msn.com

Be aware that many of the articles are fairly large, and I can only transfer about 3 or 4 articles per e-mail. Also, if you have a Hotmail account, your mailbox may be too small to receive some of the articles unless you clean up your mailbox.

Feel free to contact me for info about any of the articles.

I don't have a paper on setting up the choke systems, but I can certainly put one together if this is of interest. It seems the subject has come up a few times, so maybe it's time for me to add another tech paper to my list (it's a little short...). I'll put up a post as soon as I get a good article written that covers both types of choke systems (divorced & integral). In the meantime, if you need some help setting it up, give me a call. Drop me an e-mail if you don't have my number.

I have a few of these printed off at home. Can all of these be found at the Corvette Faq website? If not, then I'll be sending Lars an email for those that I don't have yet. The ones I have, have sure saved me from throwing wrenches a bunch of times. I still cuss just as much, but it's safer without the airborne Snap-On projectiles.
