Does anyone here know if the posi carrier used in the pre '80 Corvettes was used in any other applications such as the 10 or 12 bolt rear ends?
I have a '67 differential that was given to me but the posi carier, ring, and pinion are trashed. I have a good set of 3.36 gears that originally came out of my Corvette but need a new posi carrier and a rebuild to make this rear end functional again. Any ideas on where to get a deal on a good used one or a new one?
The Corvette posi carrier in those years is unique to the Vette and no other car. A dealer in used parts will usually have a 3 series carrier. They are common. The 4 series carrier is not to common and costs$$$ to get one.
Eaton has new carriers for around $450 but, I have heard they may be in short supply right now. Check with Tom's Differential or Randy's Ring&Pinion for avalibility.
