Default Wall mounted T-top storage device....

Has anyone made something to hang/store your t-tops in the garage? Lets put our engineering caps on and come up with a simple, effective design that is cheap and easy to build, slim in design, and one that provides adequate protection for the tops!

I made this because I got tired of having them lay around. It's nothing special. It's just a narrow shelf with carpet to protect the paint. I need a better strap (it's just nylon rope) but they never go anywhere. They naturally lean towards the wall.

I've got your solution right here. I did this about 2 years ago and it's worked out great. It consists of 2 wheelbarrow wall mounts and a towel. I had to space the top mount out from the wall about 1 1/4" or so. I just used a piece of wood to space it out. I think it works out really nice and is very quick and easy to use.

Mike, I want to hang them somewhere because I don't like having them in the back taking up space. I have a subwoofer back there that I would have to remove to store the tops. I don't drive in bad weather, so the tops are almost never on the car, and I would rather keep my sub in there while crusing topless!!

I can post a picture tommorrow if you like but Canadian Tire or any other hardware store for that matter sells L brackets that you screw onto the wall, they say they are for ladders etc.

I put a little foam on them and they stick out about 3 or 4 inches on the bottom and the tops lean back against the wall couldn't be easier

I know the ones you are talking about Wayne, that sounds like an easy cheap idea! I think they even have ones with double hooks. Any way to hold them at the top? I have never seen "wheelbarrow" holders before, i looked or them yesterday, but didn't find any.

I made something that is almost like yours just added a piece of stapping across with carpet insted of the rope and it's true they stay there and don't even touch the stapping. I got a speaker box at the back and got not much room for the roof panel and i dont need it cause i only drive it went it's a real nice day.

I think I found them at Lowes or Home Depot. I found them in the section where they have different hardware, things like the little brackets you put in the boards with holes, and other little brackets for hanging/organizing.

No need for any thing to hold them at the top unless you have kids
