I'm going to attempt to convert my non-working clock via a rebuild kit from Corvette Central. Has anyone done this? Is there anything I should watch for? Thanks

I just had to reset it again after blowing the fuse to the courtesy lights/clock and it works fine now. If I had just put it in w/out testing it though I'd be might mad at myself for not checking!
Mine worked great after I ran another ground wire from the frame to the cluster. Before that it would come and go. Also make sure when you put the hands back on that you don't put the hour hand at 12 and the minute hand at 6 otherwise your hours will always be halfway in between where they should be
Lotus is right.
I hated that two of the guages didn't work on my 73.
Did the conversion, just follow the instructions.
Looks complicated at first but half of the gears you just toss out, they are for a different model clock.
Fixed my oil pressure guage at th same time. Just needed oiling and a bit of grease, works excellent
Easy enough, but if you haven't ordered the rebuild yet, you could probably just clean your old one and it would work fine .... I took 2 broken ones and made one good one ........ works great ..... I also bought another working one for a backup overkill I guess .......Robert
