they will burn the sh=t out of you. doesn't matter if they're coated, not coated or chromed, hot is hot.jetcoating only protects the metal not skin. http://www.cardomain.com/id/rlato
They will burn your legs, but it doesn't take long for you or you passenger to get away from them, but they do cool down rather quickly. I have 2 scars from burning my legs while getting out of the car, but girls love scars on their men don't they?
I'm amazed at the number of sidepipe owners who report multiple scars from repeatedly sauteing their appendages.....now I have the memory of a soap dish, but I sure as hell remember where those pipes are.....

Well my only excuse is Ive only had em on now a couple weeks and only about 120 miles of driving time, BUT I will say this... I think Im going to wear jeans until my memory catches up with the burns...
Yes, I was serious.
I saw a quote from someone on here (don't remember who it was) that said the jet hot ones he had he could touch them after driving. I thought it sounded fishy because I knew how hot the others got. Just thought I would verify.
My question is, were the people that got burnt wearing long pants or shorts when they got burned? I plan on buying sidepipes and want to know if pants will save me if I make a mistake and bump my leg against it.
I was wearing shorts when I got mine on the back of my leg. My buddy who was helping me tune was wearing shorts when he got his on the front of his leg.
