Default Corroded contacts/connections

Going through my 78 and there arer quite a few electrical connections that have green corrosion (pwr window motor connection). What is the best way (chemical?) to clean these small areas when a brush won't fit? Should I use di-electric grease after the cleaning?

I don't know much about stripping off the corrosion, but as long as it's clean of dirt and grease, your contacts should still work. The corrosion is oxidized metal, which conducts electricity just fine. Maybe this is bad advice but I wouldn't worry about them.

Fine emery paper to get the copper oxide off and finish off with di-electric grease. Good for another 20 years.

Depending on how corroded it is, you can also use an oil-less pencil eraser.

I must be the only person that uses CLR to clean terminals. Nobody ever mentions it. I get it at Kroger in the soap/cleaning isle near the silver polish ETC. I dip the connecters in for a few minutes untill the corrosion is gone then flush it out. Dielectric grease is good too.

CVR...sounds like was I was looking for. I know that stuff gets off built on water sediment for kitchen stuff..never thought about using it on connectors...I'll give it a try!
