Default Identification label?

Hi,

is there anywhere on our C3s a label or tag showing car data like weight, length,....

I know there are some labels on the drivers door, but bubba painted over these

Can someone shed some light on my painted labels? How are they upposed to look like? In the assy manual I see there is an FMVSS label. What info is on there, this might be what I need to get the car through inspection, and get all the paperwork completed?

Thanks a lot, Sonny

Anybody?

I would really appreciate a picture of the tags on the door. I tried to get the paint off, but that doesn't seem to be a succes...
Does anybody have a clue whether I can get a duplicate of these tags somewhere?

The Corvette black book gives this info and so does this site

http://corvetteactioncenter.com/specs/1977/index.html

If you have an assembly manual for your year, it contains a section on all the lables in the car.

Thanks, I indeed found the 'GM vehicle certification label' on there. I also looked on the GM restoration parts site, and they appear to have them as well.
Problem is these are blank decals I guess, so my next question is, where do I get all necessary info, specificly for my VIN.
I looked in the black book, and on some sites, but f.e. the front and rear weights are not mentioned anywhere. In the assy manual I also see that there is some 'tire usage info' and info from the 'consumer information chart'. Any clue where to get these? The only papers I have on the car is the title.

In brief, is there any way to get the decal printed with the correct data for my VIN, like through GM maybe.

Problem is I cannot afford to mess up this data, as it will be used to get my car registered here. This is already a process that might take months, so I don't want to find out how long it might take if I provide them the wrong info.

Thanks already for the help, Sonny

Is there anybody that can shoot a photo of this label on the drivers door? Preferably a '77. I would really appreciate this. I want to get this inspection done as soon as possible, as I want to start a rebuild of my engine soon, but cannot take the engine out before having returned to the inspection-station.

Thanks, Sonny

Sonny...I looked in my photo archives and I thought I had a 77 but couldn't track it down. 1976 and 1977 had the same format...it changed slightly by increasing in size in 1978. I've got 78s...but unable to locate 77.

Thanks for the reply hunt4cleanair, could you please post this pic of the 78 label?
Any clue where I can order them with all data on there, I guess the VIN is on there as well, right, so it will have to go through GM? I contacted the local dealer here in Belgium and their reply is: sorry we don't do that anymore, we used to till 2 years ago. When I asked him where to get it then he simply told me again, well we don't do it anymore....

From reading all kinds of threads , I always have the feeling your dealers are a lot more willing to try and find a sollution, as for the ones here, they're just like 'go away or buy a new car'...

Regards, Sonny
