Nothing too exciting. Just some pics of our '68 frame, gussets, trans, trans mount and the brakes mocked up. We welded all the seams, and gusseted up everything real well. Next week, after the paint has cured a little more we will start reassembling everything. It should start coming together a little faster now I hope!

Reason: Just for fun
Thanks man, Im trying to get my driveline all setup, I like the lightweight setup of the carbon fibre. What are you planning on for engine etc? I dont really know much about your project.
81 Vette, We are putting a GM ZZ 572 Big Block in it. It and the trans will be the first parts we bolt on! You can check out our website for all the specs. Moroso Racing

hahahaha thats just wrong. I love it though man, sounds like a helluva project. Youll have to keep us Vette guys on the inside track. Im mainly interested in how you plan on keeping the car going in a straight line, or turning. I love straight line performance, but you match that with drivablity, you get a major kudos.
You are doing a beautiful job. The frame really looks good. I love the 14 inch rotors and like Twin turbo wonder about the hats. I plan on making my own but if the rotor and hat would replace the stock setup I would love those rotor and hats.
Where and how much???
That is a killer motor. The quality of alot of the cars has really improved over the years.
Nice job
Twin turbo, norvalwilhelm and Stewart's74, we did plate the big hole in the top pic. That picture is from before we did all the welding and gussets. The whole brake setup is from Precision Brakes Company. Precision Brakes Company They use some Wilwood stuff, and make the rest themselves. The hats are thiers. Also the caliper mounts are thiers. They were the only place that I could find a complete kit with big rotors and calipers that was a direct fit.

Hmm..those GNIII calipers are also 5,25 GT mount, just like mine. I wonder if they offer a bracket to fit mine, since I made mine out of steel an aluminium bracket would be nicer.
Rick, I thought you were going to install a roll cage but I don't see the mounts and plates for one, are you still installing one and if so are you not worried about screwing up the nice powdercoat finish?
Twin Turbo, I am still not sure exactly what we are putting in it, so I did not put any plates on it yet. I was going to powder coat it, but decided to paint it instead. I found some nice chassis paint. Actually close up it even looks like powder coat. I will just touch it up after the bars go in.
