Default Wiper Problems and The Door Too!

Based on advice received here replaced the wiper limited switch. Those darn wires had to be soldered. Wipers work fine now, but now the wiper door will not close with the car running.

Tracked it down to a vacuum relay valve located on the lower right side and ordered the part.

This little problem took me most of the day. These cars are so much fun!

Don't you just love these cars. I had my wipers and my headlights working correctly. Now after the paint, the headlight warning lights stay on all the time, hopefully just and adjustment. The wiper door comes up but the wipers will not run. The reason for this is the plunger that hits the switch to let the wipers run, is now missing. Wonder why they would have taken that plunger off. On the other hand, the car runs great and gets lots of compliments.

Did you ever get the AC sorted out on yours?

I ever get a break and the proper attitude to actually DO something instead of talk about it, that wiper door and me are undergoing a redesign....and the headlights will operate about 1/2 height and with ONE electrical motor/mechanism....stand up like a couple of cadets...

I bought a vacuum pump to diagnose my headlight / wiper problems without having the car on. True though..

Hay, is the wipper limited switch located under the center console. My wippers have not worked the box in the center consule clicks when I try to run them. Not real good at all of this yet, But the forum has helped out tons!!!!

The "wiper limited switch" is on the right side just in front of the cowl. Just a little button there with a plunger in front of it.

Take a look at my sig pic. Where I have typed "Jax" go straight to the right to the edge of the pic. That is where the switch is located.

Hi Eddie: Yes I went with the Sanden 508. Works great! How is everything coming along with your car?
