Last night I was cleaning up under the hood and just looking around in there. Now don't laugh because I just got this car and haven't had time to really check it out.Anyway I noticed that it has a working cowl induction hood with a rubber seal on the underside of the hood.It also has a switch that opens a door close to the nose of the hood. The manual says that it opens under WOT.My question is how does one now it's working.Also.Do all 82's have this set up or is it just a CE thing?
All 82s have that. I am not sure if you can tell if it is working by the sound of the engine. My 82 has headers, true dual exhaust & flow master mufflers. The exhaust get LOUD at WOT!
The hood induction flap you are speaking of is designed to only open under WOT. One of the common free mods is to take the flap and solenoid off and have cold air all the time! I did with no probs. Just store the parts in a zip lock in case you ever want to go back to original.

If you remove the flap, then you are providing a supply of cold air to the motor all the time, instead of just when you floor board it.
You might not notice any difference, but it's still better than hot air going to it.
Also, if you guys don't know about it, we have a CE registry: http://207.234.250.171/82ce/82ce.htm
Get registered, and theres a small forum there too.
Also a good site to check in on is the Crossfire Forum: http://www.crossfire.homeip.net
If you need any help with the crossfire injection, there's a lot of great guys there to help.
