Chevy Hugger type headers
Has anyone here used or know about these? Seems to good to be true.
Priced under $150
New Small Block Chevy Hugger type headers. This pair is ceramic coated inside and out. Fits 1958 and up SBC 265-283-305-307-327-350-383-400 engines.
They fit 70's style Corvette with autotrans nicely . They come with gaskets, collectors and hardware.

my experience with cheap headers is that usually they dont seal very well, and there is a lot of welding CRAP left in the collectors, the bends can be a bit off too....I mean hell, it might be just a good part for cheap. I found some Rotorworks drilled/slotted rotors for the vette, for 150 front 150 back, and they APEAR to be good quality.

I don't know about those, but check out this site:
www.sandersonheaders.com
I bought a set of BB SS shorties off of them three or four years ago for a good price. They went to my attic when I got power hungry.
They worked well enough on the earlier LS5.
They have SBC stuff too!!

Less restriction, so the big old vavuum pump can pump air better and faster and with more noise

Long Tubes = torque.
Shorties are great if you have limited clearance but are mainly glorified exhaust manifold. Shorties will give some power increases over stock plus you retain ground clearance, but they won't make the power of long tubes.

LOL the day I spend 2500 for HEADERS is the day I shoot myself for becoming far too hardcore into this "horsepower" business.
