Question - Installing a windshield
If anyone has any instructions or suggestions on how to reinstall a 1978/C3 windshield please let me know. I would rather do things myself and thought I would check with the forum before I call a glass company todo it.

I would suggest to take out the "broken" windshield yourself
in order to inspect the windshield cage for rust.
C3's are notorious for rust here!!
Clean it, sand it, cut it, weld it and do whatever it takes to fix it nicely!
Then....call the glass company to install your new widshield, if you don't want to buy more than one!
....unless of course you've installed one yourself before!

I say take it out yourself, but let a glass installer put the new in in. Safelite came to my house and installed for $204, including the new windshield. Course its not date correct, but that didnt matter to me.
