I'll post pictures later this week..... I'm just really excited..... I'M DONE!!!
I just got back from a 1/2 hour shake down run & everything went perfect!!!
FAST & LOUD!!!! new Hooker sidepipes sound incredible (No inserts)!!!
POWER out the wazoo from my "slightly" Modified Vortec 350 engine!!! the roads are a little damp from a late afternoon rain but my new tires hooked up REAL well, New "Zoom" Clutch works perfect & the pedal is EASY to push in.
NO WAY can I sleap now!!!! I'm going to go out & start block sanding her..... A little more Icing, a final coat of primer & she'll be ready to be RED again!!!
Congrats! I'm jealous, but your post is giving me the motivation to push forward with my 78. Presently rebuilding and installing the headlight assemblies prior to gluing of the front clip. I am about 2/3 done removing the paint from the back and roof. Have to reassemble driver's door and rehang both doors. Then prime, blocksand and off to the painter. Should not take too many more years.....
WHAT A BLAST
DAMN THOSE SIDEPIPES ARE LOUD
Had to do some re-wireing at work today. I put the electric fuel pump and the Coil on relay's to full battery voltage.... The 30 year old wires were getting warm so I took the new current draws Off the old harness!!
It's sure nice to drive around without the trail of blue smoke following me!!!
If all goes as planned I'll switch to Mobil 1 oil Thursday or Friday & head for Panama City for the big Corvette Cruise-in.
