Default Cam breakin vids

Started buttoning up the engine last weekend. Grayhook came over tonite and we finished up and broke in the cam (Comp XS274S solid). Vids are here:

http://f1.pg.briefcase.yahoo.com/bc/...NewCam&.view=l

It was running real rich and the timing was at 36* at 2k rpm. I used EOS lube and new Castrol 20W50. I've got a lot of work tomorrow adjusting lash, inital timing, carb tuning, changing oil but the big hurdle is cleared and boy is that a good feeling!! I just now hope it will live for a few thousand miles.

Thanks to the forum for all the help and putting up with all the problems and questions, especially Jughead, Pete79L82, 427Hotrod and Corey_68.

Congrat man, she sounds MEAN.

Thanks guys! This is my first solid cam. Those lifters are music to this old gearhead.

Going to change oil after work today. I was actually thinking of getting some synthetic oil at lunch. Which ones have "barrier additives"???
