Oil filter
I have used up my supply of AC Delco PF25 oil filters. Can some one tell me what the replacement number is?

Personally I like the PF1218(?) (replacement for PF35). No pressure problems and doesn't look as squatty.

Local store is always out of the 454 so I use the 1218.

Use PF1218 if it will fit. It holds more oil (which is good considering the oil capacity of these engines), and it has more filtering capacity

Filter Tests!
Steve - I didn't make it to the all Vette drag is Sac. this year. Is there anyway to have the main event on Sat. instead of Sunday?
Other than that read up on this oil filter test before you make a decision on what filter to use.

I use K&N. One nice thing is they have a hex button on the bottom so you can take it off with a socket instead of a strap wrench.

I've been using the 1218 in my Suburban and Vette, no problems. It has an anti-drainback check valve which is the only difference between it and the PF35.
