Trailing arm.
So all the new suspension bushes, steering items etc are still in the boxes.
The main problem driving home was the steering. Accelerate or brake and the car would lurch to either side - so it helped to stay in the middle lane and not do anything while other cars were around.
Must say the lurching was considerable - could take up all 3 lanes of the motorway if you did not correct very quickly.
However, before I bought it I did notice a considerable clunk coming fron the driverside rear wheel - guessed it might be a bearing or driveshaft.
Now I am wondering if the trailing arm is faulty - and if so - would it produce the above symptoms ??
Trailing arm specialists - your thoughts please
It gave a lope and then lurched the car to one side or the other.
I went straight home and felt good when I got there.
worn side yokes, worn/missing strut rod bushings, loose trailing arm
You gotta get under there and start shaking things up - and look where the movement is.
