I have built two boxes so far that fit in the back of a C-3
one with a 10" sub and 4 - 6"x9"'s ,can still close the tonneau cover.
and the other with just 2 - 6"x9"'s and the cover close with ease
The t-tops will also fit under the box as well. Would post a photo but I don't have any luck doing so.........
i fiberglassed in one 10" jl 10w6v2 in each upper back corner..... i had enough airspace and hopefully once installed i won't blow nothing apart........ i dynomatted my whole interior.........
Theres a couple of members here that have the WooX mounted on the back board, you can still get the T tops under it. and they say it sounds pretty good for the size...

I am one of the guys running a WooX sub in my 80 and I can still keep my T-tops stored behind the seats. I personally don't think you need a ton of sub for the tiny compartment of a Vette. Then again, I am not the license plate rattlin' type that is trying to deafen myself with 136db of sound. The WooX is perfect for giving a system a bit of "thump" without spending thousands of dollars on acres of amps and double loaded 12" boxes. There is a new version of the Basslink that looks very interesting. It is called the Basslink T. Here is a link to it.
Running two Memphis 12's in the rear of my 81 , whole lot of sound .
Dont have a problem fitting my tops in the back , they lay right on top of my box confortably .

I'd go with none of those. Go with an 8" kicker solo barrick sub. It uses
.33 cubic feet of space and hits as hard as any 10, in half the space.
It will cost a little more to have the box maid to fit in the storage bin, but at least you won't throw your money away when the amp shizts out on one of those others.
I keep thinking about a square Kicker Solo-Baric in one of the storage compartments. I've seen someone around here do it with a round one. I'd think the square one might fit better and the Solo-Baric requires virtually no air space.
At least that's my thinking, for what it's worth. It'll be next summer before I can actually experiment with this.

I'm purchasing two square Kickers probably 8's if I ever GET OUT OF THIS STINKING DESERT. Only 20 more days. Keep in mind Xakk, if you're looking for lots of sound created using the smallest space available look in to the square Kickers. Surface area and throw are what create the pressure and a square 8" Kicker has about the same surface area as a 10" round.
first i molded in a box in the storage compartments but after i finished that i changed my mind and relocated the subs..... one jl 10w6 will bump in the storage compartment...... it's easy to make a fiberglass box and a trim/top for the sub to mount to........
I have a single JLW6r2 going in the rear compartment behind the passenger seat, 3 amps, and 6 components, with an acceptable amount of room. Will definately post pics when the projects complete; hopefully in Dec.
nobody has really answered my question about the subs I have listed I do not want to build boxes and lose my storage compartments. So that is why I thought these subs would be good. I just wanted to see if anyone had used these subs and how they sound.
