Worked as a machinist apprentice (until the late-'70s recession ), and have spent the last 24 years reading blue-prints, or making my own (old-school-style, on a drafting-table ), and making models of proto-type glass-ware (bottles, ash-trays, casserole dishes, etc .) for various glass-houses/mould shops:
for the last 7+ years, I've taken blue-prints, and hand-made (saw & file ) templates and gages for quality-control use in the same industry, hence "Glensgages ".....
Also, help a few local bracket-racers design and fabricate small pieces, brackets, and sheet-metal for their race cars.
Got no diplomas, but I learned it from my dad, who's been doing the same since 1950.....

I was going to be a Chemical Engineer - Rice University.
Then I decided to get a real job. Financial. So, BA, Economics and Business Administration, Rice University and BS, Accounting, Rice University.
So, that makes me a Financial Engineer.

In school working (slowly) towards a degree in mechanical engineering.
I'd think with all the engineers that there'd be a lot more cool things being done with the cars though.

Worked in product design for Marine (boat) control and steering applications, handtools (Snap-on, craftsman etc.) for 15 yrs. I got tired of the
especially with the economy in Cleveland/Akron area and resigned. I now sell residential and commercial real estate and make my own schedule. I also started my own automotive and marine detailing business for the slow months....there haven't been any slow months! Anyone want to buy a Sunoco station?!
