Default Can Someone desktop dyno for me?

Hello,

I'm planning on building a 396ci stroker motor next summer and was trying to decide on what cam to use. Can someone desktop my combo with a few different cams and let me know what makes the best power.

Here is my set up:

4.030" bore 3.875" Stroke
10.25:1 compression
World Sportsmen II heads port/polished (200cc, 2.02, 64cc)
Edelbrock perf. RPM intake
Comp 1.52 roller rockers
750cfm Speed demon carb
1 5/8" headers (will be changing to at least 1 3/4")
2.5" flowmaster exhaust

Here are a few cams I was looking at:

1. CC XR288R 288/294 @.050" 236/242 .520/.540 110LSA
2. CC 294S 294/294 @.050" 248/248 .525/.525 110LSA
3. CC XS282S 282/ 290 @.050" 244/252 .520/.540 110LSA
4. XR274R 274/280 @.050" 236/242 .564/.570 110LSA

If someone can just ran a few of those cam through I was really appericate it.

Thanks

need more details on the cam...

IVO (BTDC)
IVC (ABDC)
EVO(BBDC)
EVC (ATDC)

in order to produce accurate numbers..

That information should be on the cam card...

Tried the same combo with 215cc Dart Iron Eagle Heads and got over approx. 40 HP more on most combinations..

The 200cc runners are too small - especially for the bigger cams in the selection.. Your 200cc heads won't flow enough to really take advantage of some of those cams..

I have flow files for AFR heads!!

I checked and they'd add about 40 HP (AFR 195's)

Thanks for the info.

I want to get Iron Eagle 215cc heads with 2.05" valves but I don't think I'm going to have enough money for them.

I found this site with a guy who made 488hp with a 383 and S/R torquer heads. http://www.caspeed.com/488hp383.html

Is there any way I can make ~450hp with my current heads?

Well - the guy with the Torquer heads is running 11:1 CR and a Victor Jr.. The Victor Jr. would automatically add 10 - 15 HP... Another reason for more HP on that engine could be that it was dynoed with large tube headers and race mufflers or open headers.. That's about 20 - 35 HP more..

I personally wouldn't go with a dual plane intake if I'd get it for free... Single Plane intakes rule!!

You could also get some porting work done on the Sportsmen heads... A good machine shop should be able to make them flow close to 215cc heads...

What are you using for exhaust I alway do mine with open exhaust this will give you some idea of what and engine ( gross HP ) dyno will give you. I bet you see closer to 450HP

That's about it for those heads without porting and some of those cams are already way too big as you will not benefit after a certain duration /lift unless you get higher flowing heads

I used small tube headers and mufflers on DD2000..

Large tube headers and open exhaust is about 20 - 35 HP more..

What valves?? I assume 2.02/1.60's...
What exhaust?? I'll assume short tube headers with mufflers...

I have the 2.02 /1.60 and small tubes headers, could you try it with this configuration but with a single plane, what you believe is a good single plane...
