Rear end numbers help
I have a '69 BBC. I have the tank sticker so I know the car came with 4.11 gears. I pulled the following numbers off the bottom of the rear end right before the end cap. If anyone can help me figure out what I have I would appreciate the assistance.
OJ143W9E1
I looked all through the Corvette By Numbers book and can't find anything close. I verified the numbers are stamped on there with a pencil to clean out the grooves.
Thanks,
Dave

Dave-If I remember correctly there should be a two letter code stamped into the bottom of the pumpkin, back by the rear cover? That will tell you what ratio you should have in it. That doesn't mean that's what's in there now.

If original, a 4:11 ratio in '69 would start with the letters FB. My books only go up to 1972.

corvgreg,
Where did you find that information? Do you have all numbers for 1973?
Thank you.
