'80 Condenser mounting???
I have a '76 (w/ a '95 LT1) that I'm putting a/c into and was informed by a reputable GM "a/c" guy to purchase the '80 condenser (don't recall why...maybe had something to do with the fact that I'm using some '95 components and some original style???)
Anyway, the '80 condenser does NOT have any threaded holes for the two side brackets that hold it to the rad support, while the '76 has 3 on each side. I purchased from Jeff/Chris @ Superior Chevy, but it doesn't have any GM designation on it...actually it says "Sahar Inc" on a small sticker.
Is this aftermarket? Should the '80 condenser have the threaded holes?
How to mount w/o threaded holes??? The "fins" and coils are directly beneath the unthreaded holes, so no chance of using nuts and lockwashers...
Thanks for your suggestions!
Dr.
